Sabrina Janesch, D.

Born in 1985 in Gifhorn, lives in Cottbus. Studied Creative Writing and Cultural Journalism in Hildesheim between 2004 and 2009, two semesters Polish Studies in Cracow.

Debut novel  "Katzenberge" comes out 2010

Publications in various journals, newspapers and literary anthologies. Her debut novel Katzenberge comes out in July 2010, published by Aufbau Verlag. The first German to receive the Stadtschreiber grant of the German Cultural Forum Eastern Europe and the City of Gdansk for her second novel Babylon (AT).

Scholarship holder at LCB

Until end of March 2010 scholarship holder of Schriftstellerhaus Stuttgart. From May to July 2010 she will live and write in Berlin as scholarship holder at the Literary Colloquium of Berlin. 2010 literature work scholarship of the Lower Saxony Ministry for Science and Culture.
