Ambivalences when reading Bachmann

Elfriede Czurda gives a talk on “Ambivalences when reading Bachmann”. Czurda was born in 1946 and is a successful art historian and writer: she has written numerous novels, narratives, poems and radio plays. The latest work, “Krankhafte Lichtung” (2007). She herself took part in the Bachmann Prize (1981).

Elfriede Czurda has belonged to the Graz Writers’ Association since 1975 of which she was general secretary between 1975 – 1976. She has been a member of the Berlin Neue Gesellschaft für Literatur since 1981 and the Association of German Writers since 1998.

“Talks on Ingeborg Bachmann” is an event organised by the Robert Musil Institute, University of Klagenfurt  and the cultural section of the provincial capital, Klagenfurt. The event takes place at the Musil Haus in Bahnhofstraße, Klagenfurt and begins at 19.30.
