In the anniversary year 2007, the former “Jury Prize“ became known as the Telekom Austria Prize. The prize-winner receives 10,000 Euros.

Markus Orths won the Telekom-Prize

After a run-off vote between Markus Orths and Patrick Findeis, the 2008 Telekom-Prize went to Markus Orths for his text "The Hotel Cleaner". His juror Strigl voted for an "exciting story" whose author "passionately" narrates from the Wadenhöhe perspective, but who nonetheless targets "the person as a whole".
