Since 1977 the Festival of German Literature has given an impression of what is emerging in new literature. Presenting current issues; how writers perceive the world and how they translate that perception into language. In the last four years, the authors texts have appeared on-line simultaneously with the reading at the ORF theatre in eight languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Slovenian, Czech, Croatian and German.
In total more than 30 book publications have appeared in association with Bachmann Prize goes Europe. Not only in European languages, but also in Korean, Chinese and Arabic.
