Daniela Strigl (Vienna)

Strigl has been a member of the Jury at German Literature Days since 2003. In 1999 and 2001 she was juror for the Christine Lavant Poetry Prize in Wolfsberg (Carinthia).

She was born in 1964, studiedGerman language and literature, philosophy and theatre studies.

From 1996 – 2001, co-organiser of the annual international festival, “Literature in March” in Vienna.

1995 – 1998 Editor in chief of the Styrian cultural magazine, “was”.

1999 and 2001 Juror for the Christine Lavant Poetry Prize, Wolfsberg.

2005 Scholar in Residence at Rutgers University, New Jersey.

Literary studies specialist, literary critic and essayist (“Der Standard”, “FAZ”, “Literatur und Kritik”, “Die Furche”, “Die Presse”, ORF radio).
