Breakfast and "daft" statements
Simultaneously – in imitation of Ingeborg Bachmann
"What a great feeling - talking in your mother tongue and being heard (or read) simultaneously in seven other languages -which is actually what is happening at this very moment. What I'm saying here can be read on the internet at the same time in English, Italian, French, Slovenian, Czech and Spanish." Gstättner said.
"Simultaneously" is the title of one of Ingeborg Bachmann's books of poetry."The competition named in her honour is also being simultaneously translated. London and Paris, Rome and Madrid, Prague and Ljubljana: all are potential new markets for German literature, or better, literature written in German," Gstättner explained. As is clear, the author views the fact that "the Bachmann Prize has gone Europe" in a totally positive light.
